This was originally intended for review by ATM, but Mike L. had uploaded it to the Open Forum site as official BIRD197.1. -------------------------- Call for patent disclosure: - None. ------------------------- Review of Meeting Minutes: Arpad asked for any comments or corrections to the minutes of the December 04 meeting. Bob moved to approve the minutes. Ambrish seconded the motion. There were no objections. ------------- New Discussion: DC_Offset BIRD197: Arpad noted that Bob had suggested changes to BIRD197.1. Bob said he had created a new draft, and that it consisted largely of moving section headings. He noted that most text ended up in Usage Rules. Arpad asked Bob and Walter to take an AR to review Bob's changes and send a BIRD197.2 draft 1 to ATM for review. They agreed. DDR5 related topics: Arpad ask if we had anything new to discuss with respect to rise/fall asymmetry or clock forwarding. Walter noted that clock forwarding discussions were on hold until Randy and Michael completed the ARs to report back on possible usage scenarios. Walter noted that he would be presenting a paper on rise/fall asymmetry at DesignCon. Bob asked him to submit the slides for the IBIS Summit presentation by January 18th. Redriver topics (tabled topics 11, 12, 13): Michael M. asked if the three redriver topics were tabled pending some other developments or feedback from the rest of the industry. Arpad noted that he had posted to the ATM list and si-list asking for feedback on this topic from redriver vendors, and we had gotten nothing in response. Arpad noted that, shortly after his second post to the si-list, David Banas has posted about a job opening for a company that wanted to make AMI redriver models for its photonics products. Arpad said he had asked David to make sure that company was aware of his posts seeking input on the AMI redriver flow. Arpad summarized the state of the discussion and the three tabled topics as: Fangyi had proposed a complex solution. Walter had proposed a simpler but possibly incomplete solution. Ambrish had suggested we shouldn't do anything until a concrete problem arose. - Walter: Motion to adjourn. - Ambrish: Second. - Arpad: Thank you all for joining. AR: Walter and Bob to send out BIRD197.2 draft 1 to the ATM list. ------------- Next meeting: 15 January 2019 12:00pm PT ------------- IBIS Interconnect SPICE Wish List: 1) Simulator directives
